    Way back in 1972, our founder, Mohamed Imtiaz had a vision to create the ultimate culinary experience in chicken, offering the finest in taste and nourishment while emphasizing absolute convenience.     Our founder had the wisdom to set up his farm on lush virgin land, blessed with fresh and clean climes amidst the misty mountains of the Central Highlands. Chicken raised in such a salubrious environment are tender, succulent and naturally taste much better. The confidence and approval thus won from the consumers helped lay the foundation for the ensuing meticulous expansions of Crysbro to forge ahead, preserving its market leadership over the years.

  • Crysbro Group

    The Crysbro Group has broadened its horizons and is geared up for an island wide expansion of its Commercial Poultry and Agricultural activities. This is being achieved with the establishment of a modern Broiler Production Farm with the latest technology in Galgamuwa, followed by the proposed production complex to meet its own needs in poultry feed.

    Thus the Crysbro Group, along with its subsidiaries Midland Breeders (Pvt) Ltd, Golden Grains (Pvt) Ltd and Wayamba Development Ltd, have provided direct employment opportunities for over 800 individuals living in most parts of the country.

    Furthermore thousands of farmer families from Central, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces have benefited from Crysbro’s out-grower projects which silently contribute towards the development of the country.

      Ingredients: (for 2 persons)

      • Crysbro chicken breast                      – 250 g
      • Chopped garlic                              – 1 table spoon
      • Ginger                                      – 1 teaspoon
      • Green chillies                              – 2 to 3 pieces
      • Chillie powder                              –  1 teaspoon
      • Corn flour                                  –  1 table spoon
      • Wheat flour                                 –  ½ table spoon
      • Juice of 1 lemon
      • Red colouring agent (dye)                   –  4 - 5 drops
      • Salt                                        –  As required
      • Oil for frying
      • Cloves

      Preparation:

      • De-bone the Crysbro chicken breast and cut into 1” strips
      • Add garlic, ginger, green chillies, chillie powder, cloves, corn flour, wheat flour, lemon juice, red dye, salt as required and allow for 2 hours
      • Take the soaked chicken piece by piece and fry until golden brown
      • Add cabbage, curry leaves and sliced onions as garnishing and serve

      • Crysbro chicken                                                 – 1 kg
      • Tomato                                                          – 200 g
      • Sliced onions                                                   – 100 g
      • Garlic                                                          – 5 cloves
      • Coriander                                                       – 3 teaspoons
      • Turmeric                                                        – 1 teaspoon
      • Ginger                                                          – 1 inch pcs
      • Cloves                                                          – 3 pcs
      • Cumin seed                                                      – 1 teaspoon
      • Chillie powder                                                  – 1 teaspoon
      • Bay leaf                                                        – 2 pcs
      • Curd                                                            – ½ cup
      • Cinnamon                                                        – 1” strips
      • Ghee                                                            – 5 teaspoons
      • Salt                                                            – as required

      Preparation:              

      • Masala 1:  Grind 50 g onions and garlic together
      • Masala 2:  Mix the cloves, cumin seed, turmeric, chillie powder, coriander and grind together
      • Place pan on fire, add ghee, sliced onions and fry until golden brown
      • Take prepared Masala 1, add chicken pieces and fry until golden brown
      • Add Masala 2 to the above and mix the cinnamon, bay leaf and tomatoes
      • Add curd, salt and water as required and prepare curry

      • Sliced tomatoes                                         – 100 g
      • Onion                                                        – 1 bulb
      • Green chillies, sliced straight                       –
      • Chopped garlic                                          – 6 cloves
      • Chopped ginger                                         – 1 pc
      • Sera                                                          – 1 pcs
      • Curry leaves                                              – 1 sheaf
      • Rampai leaves                                            – 2“ leaves
      • Cloves                                                       – 5 pcs
      • Curry powder                                            – 4 table spoons
      • Chillie powder                                           – ½ teaspoon
      • Turmeric powder                                       – 1 teaspoon
      • Fenugreek                                                 – ¼ teaspoon
      • Vegetable oiled                                          –3 table spoons

      Preparation

      • Cut the medium sized Crysbro chicken according to your needs
      • Pour oil in pan, add garlic, ginger, sliced onion and green chillie and heat on fire
      • Add curry powder, fenugreek powder, turmeric powder and fry
      • Add above to chicken pieces and fry for 2 minutes
      • Add tomato, cinnamon, salt as required, water and cook the curry for 15 minutes
      • Sprinkle pepper prior to serving

      • Crysbro chicken large sized                      –  1 to 1 ½
      • Lemon juice                                      – 1 table spoon
      • Curry powder                                     – teaspoon
      • Salt                                             – as required

      Ingredients: for curry powder mixture

      • Cumin seed – 1 teaspoon
      • Fennel – ½ teaspoon
      • Coriander seeds – 2 teaspoons
      • Cloves – 5 pcs
      • Dried chillies – 15 pcs
      • Coconut scrapings – ½ cup
      • Water – ¼ cup

      Ingredients:for gravy

      • Vegetable oil –  4 table spoons
      • Chopped onion –  2 table spoons
      • Cinnamon – ½ “ pc
      • Star anise – 2
      • Garlic and ginger chopped and mixed – 2 table spoons
      • Curry leaves – 10 leaves
      • Chillie powder –  teaspoon
      • Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
      • Chopped tomato – 1 cup
      • Green chillies – 4 pcs
      • Lemon juice – 1 table spoon
      • Salt – as required

      Preparation:

      • Cut Crysbro chicken into pieces. Add lemon juice, chillie powder, salt and place in fridge
      • To make curry powder mixture, all all ingredients except coconut scrapings and fry for 2 minutes and place in grinder
      • In between, take coconut scrapings, fry until brown and place inside grinder
      • Once contents have cooled, add ½ cup of water and grind until it becomes a fine paste
      • Take a thick bottomed vessel, add oil and heat until in turns golden brown, add chopped onions and add ginger, garlic, curry leaves, chillie powder, turmeric powder mixture and fry for 2 minutes
      • Reduce fire, add tomato and prepare the curry for 12 minutes, while stirring from time to time
      • Take previously made Crysbro chicken and prepare curry. Finally add lemon juice as required

      *  Ideal with hot rice

    • Chicken Spicy Cake in Sticks Ingredients: (for 5 persons)
      • Crysbro chicken de-boned               – 1 kg
      • Boiled potato                                          – 200 g
      • Beaten eggs – 4 Nos
      • Capers – 2 table spoons
      • Green chillies chopped – 1 table spoon
      • Coriander leaves chopped – 1 table spoon
      • Pepper pieces – 1 table spoon
      • Garam masala – 1 table spoon
      • Onion leaves chopped – 1 table spoon
      • Onions chopped – 1 No.
      • Wheat flour – 2 table spoons
      • Juice of 1 lemon
      • Salt – as required
      Method:
      1. Place de-boned chicken in grinder and grind until it turns to a paste. Add pepper.
      2. Take the garam masala, capers, coriander leaves, green chillies, onion leaves, wheat flour, salt as required and mix well
      3. To this mixture, add beaten eggs, chopped potato pieces and mix well. Finally add lemon juice
      4. Take out the mixture and place on a tray as oval shaped cakes and refrigerate for 4 hours
      5. Later pour oil in  vessel and fry refrigerated chicken cakes until golden brown
      *Add tomato sauce for great taste

      Ingredients:

      • Crysbro Gaana Chicken – 1 tin
      • Potatoes – 250 g
      • Onions sliced into small pieces – 50 g
      • Chilies powder – ½ teaspoon
      • Cloves powdered – ¼ teaspoon
      • Green chilies – 2 sliced pieces
      • Curry leaves – 1 sprig
      • Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
      • Lemon – as required
      • Cooking oil – as required
      • Rusk crumbed – as required

      Preparation:

      1. Mash a boiled and pealed potato
      2. Mix Onions, Green chilies, Curry leaves, Chilies powder, Cloves, Lemon juice, Crysbro Gaana Chicken and the mashed potatoes. Knead well and roll into suitably sized balls
      3. Beat egg-whiles in another bowl
      4. Dip the balls into the egg-while and cover with rusk crumbs
      5. Fry until they turn golden brown

      Ingredients:

      • Crysbro Gaana Chicken                 – 1 tin (Chillie flavoured)
      • B. Onions sliced small                – 2 Nos
      • Capsicums sliced pieces               – 4 Nos
      • Tomatoes, seeds removed         
      • Soya sauce                            – 1 tablespoon
      • Pepper powder                         – as required
      • Lemon juice                           – as required
      • Mint leaves                           – as required
      • Coriander                             – as required
      • Salt                                  – as required
      • Corn oil & butter                 – 3 tablespoons
      • Arabic bread                          – Nos

      Preparation:

      1. Place vessel on fire and heat
      2. Mix together oil and B. Onions, Capsicums, Tomatoes, Mint leaves, Crysbro Gaana Chicken, Pepper powder , Salt and finally Lemon juice, Coriander and Soya sauce into a thick paste. (Do not fry B. Onions and Capsicums until they change colour)
      3. Place the mixture on the Arabic bread and roll like a pancake
      4. Arabic bread can be warmed by placing both sides on a pan and heating
      5. Wrapping the cooked Shawarma in an aluminium foil will preserve the heat for 1 hour

      Ingredients: for dough

      • Wheat flour                                  – 250 g
      • Milk                                        – ½ cup
      • Sugar                                        – ½ teaspoon
      • Lukewarm water                               – ¼ cup
      • Yeast                                        – 1 teaspoon
      • Egg white                                    – 1 No.
      • Margarine                                    – 50 g
      • Salt                                         – as required

      Ingredients: for curry

      • Crysbro Gaana Chicken                    – 1 tin (Chillie flavoured)
      • Boiled and pealed potato                 – 200 g
      • B. Onions sliced                                – 50 g
      • Salt                                                   – as required
      • Pepper                                              – as required
      • Oil                                                     – as required

      Preparation: for dough

      • Mix sugar and yeast and place in boiling water for 1 hour
      • Add flour, egg whites, margarine, milk, salt, chilled water and mix well. Allow for one hour until the mixture leavens
      • Roll the dough into suitably sized balls and allow for ½ hour
      • Use rolling pin to flatten dough into thin sheets
      • Place curry in the middle and roll the sheet into a tight triangular shape
      • Turn it towards both sides and apply egg white with a brush. Bake at 2000 C for 25 minutes

      • Take Crysbro Gaana Chicken as per your requirement and mix with the other ingredients.

      Ingredients: for dough

      • Wheat flour                                   – 200 g
      • Master Puff Margarine                  – 125 g
      • Butter                                            –  50 g
      • Salt                                                – as required

      Ingredients: for curry

      • Crysbro Gaana Chicken                – 1 tin (Chillie flavoured)
      • Potato                                           – 200 g
      • B. Onions                                      – 50 g
      • Salt                                               – as required
      • Pepper                                          – as required
      • Oil                                                 – as required

      Preparation: for dough

      • Add flour, butter, salt, chilled water and mix well. Place in fridge for 10 minutes
      • Roll the Puff Margarine into a ball, wrap in polythene and place in fridge for 10 minutes
      • Remove dough from the fridge and flatten out in your hand. Cut the flattened dough into four pieces without splitting them. Place the Puff Margarine in the middle of each piece and cover.
      • Fold each piece into two and flatten with rolling pin (Make sure the flattened dough does not split)
      • Place Piece 1 on Piece 2, Piece 3 on Piece 4 and fold
      • Place in fridge for 10 minutes and flatten with rolling pin
      • Remove from fridge, flatten with rolling pin and place in fridge again
      • Repeat process 4 – 5 times and place in fridge again
      • Remove from fridge, flatten and cut into 4 square pieces
      • Place Crysbro Gaana Chicken in the middle and fold into a triangle. Apply egg white evenly
      • Beat egg yolk and apply with brush
      • Bake at 1800 for 15 minutes

      Preparation: for curry

      • Mix 1 tin of Crysbro Gaana Chicken (Chillie flavoured) with other ingredients and boil

      Ingredients: (For 4 persons)

      • Crysbro chicken medium sized               – 750 g
      • Chillie sauce                                           – 3 table spoons
      • Golden syrup, maple syrup or honey       – 6 teaspoons
      • Olive oil or vegetable oil                         – 4 teaspoons
      • Juice from 1 lemon
      • Taragon herbs dry                                  – 1 teaspoon
      • Salt                                                        –  as required
      • Pepper                                                   – as required

      Preparation:

      • Cut the medium sized Crysbro chicken according to your needs, add pepper and allow to soak for 1 hour
      • To make sauce, place pan on fire, add the chillie sauces, golden syrup, olive oil, lemon juice and salt. Heat the contents until they boil
      • Add Tarragon herbs and mix
      • Take the chicken and place on greased grill and heat until golden brown
      • Pour sauce mixture on chicken prior to serving

    Fresh from Our Own Farms

    The salubrious climes of the central highlands of Sri Lanka, with its unpolluted air and fresh streams, offer the perfect environment for our sprawling chicken farms and state-of-the-art processing plant. It is here that we carry out a process which is best described as ‘Farm to Fork’. It simply means that we execute everything which is required – from parent bird to the final broiler chicken, inclusive of its nutrient feed – to bring the tasty and nourishing Crysbro chicken to your table.

    Serving the nation with dedication

    We strongly believe in helping the communities where we serve, so that the people can enjoy a higher standard of living and a fulfilling life. Our services include:

    CRYSBRO completed their annual housing project under the “Praja Aruna” CSR program – 2016/2017.

    Four selected employees were donated with brand new houses funded by the company and nine of another group of employees were aided with Rs. 100,000/- to renovate of their houses funded by the Employee Welfare Society.
    In total, CRYSBRO has now donated 23 new houses and 40 renovation donations since 2012.

    SooryaSingha Certificate

    The Sooryasingha Certificate is awarded by Mawbima Lanka Foundation. Recipients can use the Sooryasingha logo to inform consumers that their products/services are locally manufactured to requisite standards and that purchasing their offering will contribute towards building the Sri Lankan economy. Crysbro was the first chicken producer in Sri Lanka to receive this certification.

    ISO 9000 covers the fundamentals of quality management and helps organizations meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, while conforming to statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to their product.

    ISO 14001

    ISO 14001:2004 deals with environmental management and sets out guidelines which can be followed to achieve an effective environmental management system. This certification provides an assurance that a given organization is engaged in environmental impact assessments and improvement. Crysbro was the first and only chicken producer to receive this certification in Sri Lanka.

    Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points or HACCP is a hazard prevention system that is used in several industries, including all stages of the food chain – from production and processing to packaging and distribution – in order to reduce risks to safe levels. The process is based on seven principles to ensure effective adherence.

    Halal Certificate

    Halal means ‘Allowed’ or ‘Permissible’ in Arabic. In the case of food, Halal specifies foods that are allowed, as well as how they should be prepared. It also refers to animal by-products contained in foods, either as additives or preservatives, which are permitted. All Crysbro products adhere to the strictest interpretation of the term ‘Halal’.
